About Me

Hello there! My name is Sam, and I am a student interested in pursuing a career in Robotics and Mechatronics. I have always had a passion for understanding the inner workings of things, and how things operate in general. This has led me to this field, which allows me to explore the integration of technology and creativity in innovative ways.

Throughout my life, I have been interested in dismantling electronics to see how they functioned. Over time, I became increasingly drawn to software and how it could interact with hardware to create more sophisticated systems. Studying Robotics and Mechatronics has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of everything from sensors and motors to control systems and artificial intelligence.

One of the things that I love most about this field is the challenge it presents. The opportunity to think creatively and devise novel solutions to problems is something that has been present in all the projects I have undertaken. Some of my more memorable projects include a rover which was tasked with autonomously navigating a maze, and a quadruped robot which aims to walk. They were challenging and rewarding experiences that taught me a lot about problem-solving and working in a team.

In my free time, I love tinkering with electronics and building robots. I also actively participate in competitions, such as Lockheed Martin and PecanCTF, which have given me the opportunity to collaborate with other students on a variety of problems.

My long-term goal as a Robotics and Mechatronics student is to play a part in the development of new technologies that can have a positive impact on society. Whether it’s through designing robots that can carry out dangerous or difficult tasks, or developing mechatronic systems that can boost efficiency and productivity in various industries, I am excited to be a part of this dynamic and ever-evolving field.
